We ended up flatmates by chance. Opposite hours, opposite weeks. One shared ritual: a glass of amaro in the evening, on the couches. Conversations that turned dumb ideas into entire worlds.
Before LoopUp we tried another idea: frozen filled flatbreads for time-poor university students. Kitchen prototypes, feasibility studies on campus. It worked — but it wasn't the thing. It became our training ground: lived problem → product → market.
A three-room flat, just the two of us. The house quickly became a crossroads. Giulia (one of Fortunato's Milan circles), Davide (another circle, through Fortunato's sister), Natale (a lifelong friend from Calabria), Eleonora (a third group), and more. At the start of the year none of them knew each other. Giulia and Davide ended up together. And something bigger: when Fortunato left for Erasmus, those people — who existed as a group only because of us — rented an apartment together. A family of strangers, who no longer needed us to keep going.
Fortunato postponed his graduation session. We moved both beds into the same room: in the middle, two PCs with dual monitors and a TV. The other had to be able to see what you were doing at any moment. March 2026: first mockup. May 2026: top-three at the SVST Hackathon in Salerno. Today: We Make Future, Bologna.
